I have had my business for over 13 years now- and never has a customer asked for things on commission. I suppose that is the difference between a "business" vs. "hobby" in the epla world :-)

I've had shops both buy my things and have them on commission. To sell is clearly much easier as I don't have to think about it anymore, but often there are small shops that don't want to risk being stuck with items they can't sell. I'm fine with both solutions and have also had sellers on commission in my own shop. If you want to call it "hobby", fine by me. Not much salary anyhow ;-)
Ingrid- I was maybe a bit too direct. If you have a business set up, I don't think a store will ask you to do commission, but will buy outright. But if you are doing things as a hobby, then maybe they ask to have things on commission. It also depends how the seller feels- Personally, I don't have time or capacity to keep track of commission goods, so I sell- it's never been an option since no one has asked me :-) But honestly, I don't sell the jewellery I make to that many stores since my main job is dealing in coloredstones, etc. Also, I reacted because this thread started again when someone asked how much commission to take, etc and when I looked at her stuff, most was under 150kr, so why couldn't the store buy 10 pcs and she could get her money instead of on commission- the store could invest 2000kr- that isn't much of a risk (in my eyes)... :-)
No worries.
Hjertesukk...igjen.....
250-600 kr, noen over tusen. :o)
