YETI PET BED

This is a handmade pet bed (relevant for dogs and cats) made according to my own idea.
Crafted from the high quality genuine leather and super-plush faux fur, based on the solid oak frame coated with wax.
Variations of color and texture make each pet bed unique (hardly ever there are two alike beds, when the wooden frame looks identical, and even then the differences are well seen and every item is unusual.

This product will give the highest comfort to your pet and the special functionality to you because:

• The frame made from solid oak wood is durable enough to avoid pets scratches and bites, the wood is protected with two coats of natural wax which smells very pleasant. There is a webbing on the bottom of the frame.

• The foam, thick mattress (6cm / 2.36 inch) provides a proper hardness and upper wadding (Dacron) layer that is just under the leather gives softness and prevents the leather against stretching out at once

• The leather used is protected against liquid, dirt and fat, so when your pet would jump in with wet and muddy paws or wants to eat its dinner in it – don’t be scared – just wipe clean with damp cloth – and that’s all. It’s because of a special dirt and waterproof properties of the leather. The bottom of the mattress is covered with 100% natural linen which allows to keep a proper circulation of air.

• Thick, soft bolsters wrapped in faux fur will allow your pet to get a great time of sleep This kind of fabric is delicate and imitates a natural fur – ‘Siberian wolf’ (this material is certified as "Safe for Humans" (IW ZC TEXTIL-CERT No. 061 / AC 017) by the Institute of Textiles in Lodz. Made in Poland).
Two leather belts on each side of frame fasten bolsters, so they are always on place and are easy to remove.
The bolsters are ended with leather in two colours: beige and brown.

Technique used:
All stages of making my pet beds are done at my home workplace by myself. Leather, fabric and fur parts are mostly sewn on my industrial sewing machine, some of them are hand sewn. Every stitches are carefully protected against to come untied.
You will find a small tag “Melampus” burnt into wood.
I have called this pet bed Yeti' because it connotes to this furry, snowy monster ;)

CARE:
Leather - wipe the leather with damp cloth and refresh using ‘Leather Care Crème’ (which I added to the bed for free).
Bolsters - because of leather parts I recommend dry cleaning.

Please remember that every bed I have made is to be extremely durable and last through years of use.

This pet bed is made of the best materials possible - the leather I use is hair, dirt and moisture resistant, it is easy to clean simply by using a damp cloth, which is perfect for a dog that tends to shed plenty of hair. Wrinkles, shadows and other marks are intended therefore this kind of leather has the beauty of age from day one.
