Taken on Spitsbergen, Svalbard in January 2013. This was taken during the Polar Night at the time of the full moon. The subject is Adventfjorden, which is the fjord that the settlement of Longyearbyen is built next to.

The light was just beginning to return after several months of total darkness. This, coupled with the light of the full moon meant there was enough light in the middle of the day to achieve a good landscape photograph. I found this composition almost immediately but I spent 2 hours making sure I had it shot perfectly, because I knew that this was a special one!

Taken with a Canon 5dMkII and 24-105 F4 L lens.

Printed with Epson Ultrachrome HDR inks on Epson premium luster paper on an Epson Stylus Pro 4900 primter. Research carried out by Epson suggest this combination of ink and paper is lightfast for 64 years when prints are stored properly under glass.

Obviously the print will not be watermarked and it will be signed by me before it is shipped.
