Trykk - Arktisk Kulltog bilde tatt på Svalbard
Taken in Ny-Ålesund on Spitsbergen, Svalbard in September 2012. Ny-Ålesund is a former Norwegian mining settlement turned scientific research base. The train was used to transport coal out of the mine to the docks for shipping.
There is a lot of character to the worn train with all it's peeling paint. Across the fjord in the background, the low September sun lights up the mountains and glacier. I enjoy photographing human elements in nature.
Taken with a Canon 5dMkII and 24-105 F4 L lens.
Printed with Epson Ultrachrome HDR inks on Epson premium luster paper on an Epson Stylus Pro 4900 primter. Research carried out by Epson suggest this combination of ink and paper is lightfast for 64 years when prints are stored properly under glass.
Obviously the print will not be watermarked and it will be signed by me before it is shipped.
