At the sunday market I received one payment through iZettle (without the card reader), but this was from a close friend who said she could try it since she knows and trusts me. She said she would not have given her card detailes to someone else, but she could have used the card reader. I've talked to others who have the same opinion, and I agree with them.
Even if the phone doesn't store any information, you can easily remember/store the card details yourself. Dishonest people may then use this to perform more "purchases", and the signature written with a finger on an iphone is not worth much... The same thig can of course happen at restaurants, hotels etc. where you give your card detailes, but most people feel safer with this than giving that info to a random, unregistered market seller.
With the card reader it's much safer, because you need the actual card to transfer money. I will wait to offer payment by card/iZettle (to others than people who know and trust me) until I receive a card reader, as I don't feel comfortable asking for strangers' card details.
